Peter Ralston lives in Rockport, Maine and owns the Ralston Gallery. 

He has photographed the coast of Maine since 1978, drawn especially to the people and working communities that define coastal Maine’s character.    He says his photography is just storytelling straight from the heart, saying “These are the places I’ve been and people I’ve met, and sometimes there’s metaphor not far beneath the surface.”  

In March 2020 he began emailing “Little hugs from Maine” every Sunday with his photographs.  He encourages all of us to “Be the light.”
